Veil Area

This is the area of the Veil nebula in a Cygnus This is a section of the Milky Way. The bright star at the lower left of this image is the star SADR. Just to the left of this star is the open cluster NGC6910. Across the bottom of the star cloud, you can see the open cluster M29. Above M29, near the top of the image, you can see the Crescent nebula NGC6888. There are several other clusters and nebula in this image. Images taken with a Canon EOS20D with a 200mm f2.8L II lens wide open. This was riding on a TEC-140 Telescope mounted on Losmandy G11 mount. Fifteen 3 minute exposures focus and acquired; dark, flat, and bias compensated; aligned and stacked; background removed and Digitaly Developed in ImagesPlus 2.75 Beta 2a. |
