Little Dumbell or Barbell Nebula

Small and faint planetary nebula located in Perseus. (Often regarded as the faintest Messier object)

Approximately 87" x 42" and 1750 light years away with a diameter of a light year.

Star at left is Phi Perseus

Images taken with TEC-140 Telescope mounted on Losmandy G11 mount. Camera used was a Canon EOS20D used at prime focus.

Three 3 minute exposures dark compensated, aligned and stacked, background removed and Digitaly Developed in ImagesPlus 2.01
