Globular cluster M72 in Aquarius

A somewhat unimpressive Globular Cluster located about 60,000 light years away with a total diameter of around 85 light years. This is one of the more "open" clusters with the brightest stars around magnitude 15+ (about at the level of detectability for this telescope/camera combination)

Images taken with TEC-140 Telescope mounted on Losmandy G11 mount. Camera used was a Canon EOS20D used at prime focus.

Three 1 minute exposures dark compensated, aligned and stacked, background removed and Digitaly Developed in ImagesPlus 2.10 beta 5.
