Open Cluster M48 in Hydra

This is a large open cluster with a size of around 42'. It likely contains about 50 stars to the 13th magnitude and is located around 1700 light years away. It has a diameter of about 20 light years.

Images taken with TEC-140 Telescope mounted on Losmandy G11 mount. Camera used was a Canon EOS20D used at prime focus.
