Galaxy M106 in Canes Venaciti

A galaxy in Canes Venaciti that was not included in Messier's original set. It is a 19.5' x 6.5' barred spiral.

Images taken with TEC-140 Telescope mounted on Losmandy G11 mount. Camera used was a Canon EOS20D used at prime focus with a 2x Powermate.

Ten three minutes exposures dark compensated, aligned and stacked, background removed and Digitaly Developed in ImagesPlus 2.50 Beta 5.

Note that some star motion is visible. I probably should redo this without the Powermate and see how that compares.
