Globular Cluster M10 in Ophiuchus

A rich globular cluster with a compressed core. The distance to M10 is estimated to be about 22,000 light years. M12 is a near neighbor.

Images taken with TEC-140 Telescope mounted on Losmandy G11 mount. Camera used was a Canon EOS20D used at prime focus.

Five 1 minute exposures dark, flat, and bias compensated, aligned and stacked, background removed, Digitaly Developed, and LR sharpened in ImagesPlus 2.50 beta 9.
