Galaxy M89 in Virgo
M89 is a bright spirall galaxy that is part of the Virgo-Coma Berenices cluster. This galaxy is about 42 million light years away and has a diameter of about 80,000 light years. If you put your mouse over this figure, you will see M89 in relation to M01.
Images taken with TEC-140 Telescope mounted on Losmandy G11 mount. Camera used was a Canon EOS20D used at prime focus.
